Arcangelo Fiore’s Fusion Chair prototype combines functionality with luxury

Sofa and television set are undoubtedly the two essentials of any living room. One can hardly manage a comfortable life without these two absolutes. Now, these two are combined to create an even better product, providing the comfort of sofa and fun of TV in one piece. The outcome is a wonderful Fusion Chair. Designed by Arcangelo Fiore, the seating was inspired by the concept chair that was one of the entry in Toscana Design Competition 2008.

This hybrid has an ergonomically designed shape that provides the user with the finest vision of a 26-inch LCD TV at just the right angle in the shortest possible space. Moreover, this Fusion Chair comes all fitted with a blu ray, a DVD player, a decoder and provisions for power supply disappear for a sense of unity and seamless block design.
This prototype, measuring only 300 cm × 66 h × 165, is an attempt to reduce space without compromising on quality and technology. That’s why the material used in manufacturing is solid pine, covered with polyurethane foam 16 S and 30 F finished in Alcantara fabric from Red Burgundy. TV brackets are done in steel for easy wall fixing. This is definitely a hybrid of luxury and functionality in true sense!
