You cannot use your home audio amplifier in your car. Because you could not use it directly with the car power supply. You should remember that the car battery supply is 12-volt DC with more than 20 amp current. So it is impossible to run your home audio amplifier in your car. Actually, power supply and audio IC is the most important components for car audio system. Moreover, you will need more powerful audio amplifier IC, which will withstand the 12-volt power with 20-plus amp current. However, you will need to use a power regulator with a separate kit which consists of capacitor, resistor and choke coil, which will provide the output power of 12 volt, 4ohm and 4 amp. Otherwise the home audio amplifier will burn out or will not work due to high current. It is better not to use the home audio amplifier in your car. Logically, it is totally ridiculous idea because you can buy a cheaper car audio amplifier from your local market whereas your custom built home audio amplifier will spend more money from your pocket. Still, you are keen on use your home audio amplifier in your car then it is a good option to call a good audio technician for your requirement.
