The concept of having an alarm clock by your bedside may have died out in the early 2000s, but the stylish new Alarm Dock for the iPhone, designed by Jonas Damon could well bring it back into fashion.
It’s a testament to how well the Alarm Dock is designed that it actually does look like a regular bed-side alarm clock at first glance. At closer inspection, however, you’ll see how the wood finish and the iPhone’s screen camouflage beautifully to create the illusion that they’re a single unit with the iPhone display telling the time and charging at the same time. Some may be disappointed that the dock has no further electronic enhancements like speakers, but it’s really only been designed for aesthetic purposes.
Damon has also previously designed another equally cool dock made to resemble a retro television, with the iPad charging while taking on the appearance of a TV screen with a scrambled signal. Really cool stuff!
