Briz: Solar powered air conditioner blinds with a difference

briz1

OK, the concept is not new, but this one, Briz by Nari Kim and Pullip Lim is definitely different. It uses water as a cooling agent. Water runs through the tubes that are located at the bottom of the blinds, emitting dry mist. The water, while it evaporates absorbs the heat and naturally cools the atmosphere.

The air conditioner can be used while the windows are open. This is achieved by using a general blind. Briz can be installed on the windows and fresh air can be supplied as the water is running through the tubes. The evaporation heat that is caused by dry mist cools the hot air entering the window. Thus, it supplies you with fresh air every time and not the air from the machine.
