Child's chair by KihoSuh

Designer: Kiho suh (Providence, RI, USA)

‘Kiho Suh’, in collaboration with ‘Erica Pernice’ and ‘Paul Wu’ crafted a child’s chair which is very unique in its design. This chair was designed keeping in mind the kids of age group from five to eight years. It was made only with a 48″x80″ Cardboard. The main concerns of the designer were comfort, safety, functionality and sturdiness making it suitable and useful for places like kid’s room, schools, library etc.

What’s unique

For the amazing fact, designer did not use any adhesive material during its construction. Even made from cardboard, it can easily bear the weight of children without being tipped.

High points

This chair is made by joining 17 different cardboard parts without using any adhesive. It is fitted together with slots and slabs. Kids can use it while watching T.V., reading books or while eating. It gives children enough safety, as it seems to be adjoined with two chairs, supporting from two directions. It also provides good posture to kids while watching TV because it is made to keep legs on ground. Truly, a wonderful design for kids!
