Skype definitely is the cool option that lets you stay connected to your loved ones. But when it comes to grandparents they sometimes find it a big fuss. Cisco has come up with a smart solution. The company has released HD video conferencing system called Umi (you-me) that will bring family and friends to the living room just click-a-way. The Umi system comes with a set top box with remote and an HD camera that mounts on the top of the TV. Net connectivity enables you to receive 720p or 480p video up to 1080p depending upon the net speed. Another cool feature of Umi is that it’s compatible with Google Voice and Video Chat which gives you the freedom to chat with anyone and there is no need for the other end to have Umi. It will be available from Best Buy Magnolia stores starting November 14th.
