Co-Chef: Your smart cooking assistant

co chef

Bram Shreuders for Philips in the Domestic Appliances Project at the Delft University of Technology designed a healthy kitchen appliance that lets you cook smart. The Co-Chef concept is a smart cooking assistant that comprises of a basestation (with wireless touchscreen) and various sensors-spoon sensor, meat sensor, pan sensor, oven sensor, and a fruit sensor. You can place the fruit sensor in the fruit bowl to keep a check on the freshness of the fruits, oven sensor in case you are making quiche, meat sensor while cooking meat, spoon sensor to check the freshness of milk, pan sensor to monitor the temperature and level. The Co-Chef using a wireless sensor makes you a smart chef. It’s a concpet for now but I’m sure once it sees the production stage, it’ll be a part of almost any modern kitchen.
