Designed by Mitchel Crawford, the Veil luminaire is a trendy home fixture that not only lights up your living room, but also houses your indoor plants. It’s very much like killing two birds with one stone. Influenced by the organic themes of nature, the Veil is basically a luminaire-cum-flower pot that provides a recreational lighting system for a lively atmosphere in any room.

The Veil luminaire consists of a cylindrical glass enclosure, fitted with a base containing a ceramic dish in which the plant can be grown. The base can be rotated along a cutout in the glass and can be removed easily, so that the ceramic dish can be accessed and the contained plant can be trimmed, watered or cleared out. The lamp comes with a color rotation disk which when rotated, selects the color of led that will be illuminated according to the degrees of rotation. The bulb is attached to its connector through magnetic link and can be easily removed. By growing and nurturing the plant to their own preference. the user can create truly unique shadows and tailor the ambiance of their living space.
