The concept

A new vacuum cleaner that we are going to talk about gives three reasons to render your current cleaner obsolete. It’s hybrid, it’s a robotic vacuum cleaner, and it’s solar powered one!

The Inspiration

Conceptualized by Mary Habib, a student of Industrial Design Honors, the Hybrid Vacuum was inspired by the need of a carefree cleaning experience and a sustainable future for the nature.

What's different

What sets this vacuum cleaner a class apart from the rest is the fact that it takes power from the sun, eliminating the use of electricity. It’s made up of organic photovoltaic cells and this kind of plastic that converts light into energy. Besides, the materials used to make it consists of raw materials derived from corn and old car tires, thus making it a recyclable product.

What's in it for me

The vacuum uses a unique way to display what is it doing. A look at its logo that changes colors will tell you if it needs a charge or it's in on or off mode. Not only this, it’s handy and convenient to use. You can remove the hand-held unit from the center of the vacuum to clean places like curtains, couches tables, chairs, etc. So, it’s a one-stop shop solution for all your cleaning chores – right from the floor to furnishings.

Since it’s robotic, you can give it orders and the voice activated vacuum will follow suit.
