We empty a tin can everyday, but we just don’t have enough mind to use it wisely. According to me tin cans are something that could be used twenty times over and that too for different purposes. Take for example, you have a cat food tin can, you could recreate it as a pen holder and when you are bored, then you could create a clock out of the pen holder. Re-using tin cans in home is just the matter of your creativity. And, what you will see by scrolling down is just to stimulate the same.

Re-using Tin cans
• Pen Holder:

This should be the easiest of things to get you started with. Empty the tin can if it isn’t already. Now, Cover the tin can’s outer surface with colored paper, sticking it with glue. You can also add Velcro to the bottom of the can so that it sticks on to the surface. This pen holder can be perfect use of the can and can also make for a good gift to someone. if you do not want to cover the can with paper, then you can use your creativity to decorate it, paint it or may be even cover it with some bark.
• Storage Containers:

Wash the cans and take the labels off the tin cans, by the time the cans are drying, pick up some remaining colored papers and cut them to the size of cans. When you have done so, you can pick up a piece of wood (that you will use to hang the cans on) and clean it. Now, you have to decide, whether you will paint the wood or cover it with colored papers. As, you have done it take some hangers and hammer it at the back of the wood. Now, decorate the dried cans with paper and ribbons. And, if you can screw he cans on the wood, then that is good and if not, just use the epoxy glue, It will do the work for you. You are almost through by now. All that is left is hanging the entire tin storage system on the wall. If you don't want to get into all the wood-y complications, then attach you can fix it on the wall with anything that you think is appropriate. You can also make a cookie storage container out of your tin can.
• Tin Can Lantern:

Clean, wash and dry the tin cans that you want to make lanterns out of. Now, fill the cans with water and freeze them, so that you do not leave any dent in the can while you punch holes in the can. Once you have made the holes, painting or not painting the can is completely your wish. You can use this recreated can lantern to light candles in these and light your garden or backyard.
• Tin Can Flower Pots:

Again, it’s the easiest thing to make in the world. Do whatever, paint it or decorate it, you will have a pot. All you ever have to do is put the soil and the plant. You can even hang the planters on the wall to create a wall garden.
• Tin Can Sterno Stove:

Once you have the can, make six holes with a can opener on the closed side of the can. Now, make four holes on the can with a screwdriver. These holes should e made in such a way that two holes are on one side and two on the other, in perfect alignment. Bend the wire hanger in a narrow U shape and insert it in the four holes. It will serve as a cooking rack. Remove the bottom of the tin can, so that once the sterno is lit, you can slide the tin can over the sterno. Now light the sterno, slide the tin can over it and cook it up. And, there you have it, the stove.
• Tin Can Crafts:

You could use your skills and creativity to create tin can crafts like dolls, mobiles or even tin can clocks for that matter.
• Tin Can Wall:

You can call this the last minute discovery. The wall has been made up of tin can tops. Wow!
I hope you liked it. However, if I have missed something, then please fell free to tell me.
