Lamp &Torch Set is a robust source of light

Every household will have a lamp and torch that are put to good use when dusk sets in. A lamp can even bring the gloomiest place to life when it is switched on. On the other hand, a torch comes in handy when there is no electricity or one has to go out at night. How about owning a light source that can act both as a lamp as well as a torch? Thomas Callum Parry has designed the Lamp &Torch Set as a part of his University 2nd year project. The elegant product, as the name suggests, can be used both as torch as well as a lamp that will give a user the pleasure to exploit two items through the same product.

The final design Lamp &Torch Set looks like an inverted cone and is simple to use. The torch is fitted inside the lamp and can be used individually. All you have to do is lift the torch and take it anywhere you feel like without the lamp. Since, the torch can be easily placed inside the lamp this will help in compact storage of the product and will help save space at the same time. Lamp &Torch Set will harness energy from the sun, which makes it an energy-efficient product. The torch features a jack connection at the end that can be easily coupled with the solar panels for getting charged via the rays of the sun. The lantern can only be charged when the torch is fitted over it.

Lamp &Torch Set is not very expensive, so all worries about shelling a lot of money to get the benefit of two products take a backseat. The eye-appealing product is a powerful source of light despite its low price tag. It can be used as an emergency light in areas that don’t get electricity supply the whole day. The torch can double as a small lamp that can be used for reading books or magazines. All you have to do is press the button present on it for a second time and see it emit light that can be used for reading.

Lamp &Torch Set is a solar powered product that will unfurl benefits of two items at the same time. It will prove to be beneficial at refugee camps and a great asset for Third world countries where people don’t have enough money to spend on fancy things. The usage of solar power will also make sure that the need of electricity to make the lamp glow doesn’t act as a hindrance for its working.
