Robots are definitely the next invaders to invade our homes. From cooking, cleaning and serving drinks, robos now pulls up their socks to design the furniture for your home. This is what BioRobotics Laboratory is making clear with their new furniture project design named as “Roombots”. The new modular robots come as small unit that moves around your house to organize into furniture. They are autonomous units that are capable of self-assembling, self-reconfiguring, and self-repairing. Roombots also promises to offer higher versatility and robustness against failure, as well as the possibility of self-reconfiguration. These small robots comes together to form stools, chairs, sofas and tables and also changes shape with time. Isn’t it interesting?
