Taking care of your infant with the Sprout Monitor

The Sprout Monitor is an amazing creation by David Kanegsberg, an industrial designer, and will surely be a hit amongst parents of infants. Most of us have gone through the stage of being parents and how precious it is to see infants sleep comfortably especially when they are unwell. This monitor actually measures the temperature and breathing pattern of babies as they sleep – so that we do not cause them discomfort while trying our best to measure their body temperature and pulse – resulting in huge bouts of crying and uneasiness! With the new Sprout Monitor we can quietly keep a tab on the changes in the temperature and breathing pattern of our little one every little instant!

The monitoring device is very compact and can be mounted on a wall near the baby’s crib. The Sprout Monitor makes use of motion recognition and infrared technology for recording the baby’s breathing pattern and temperature, respectively – giving you complete information without causing disturbance to the sleeping child. This information is then transferred through a wireless router (WiFi)to any device with internet facility hence it can be connected simultaneously to a mobile phone, computer or laptop. The information then gets stored safely on a protected site on the internet. If the Sprout Monitor detects an unusual breathing pattern or a rise in the body temperature of the baby – then an alert is raised and a message is passed immediately onto the various connected devices for instant SOS.

This is truly a remarkable device and the Sprout Monitor is a blessing for parents!
