Faraday’s new age concept tea set gives you freedom of making tea right in your living room, while enjoying the company and flattering compliments of your guests. The glass that you see is no ordinary glass, but in fact sturdy borosilicate glass. And the wood used here is maple wood.

Free Time Industries, the makers of this revolutionary tea kit explain, ” Faraday merges the task of preparing tea with the social experience of consuming it. The use of induction technology allows the boiling of water to take place at the table, without a stovetop or a steel kettle. Neither the serving try nor the objects upon it gets hot while the water boils within the glass vessel.”

At first glance the tea set does look like a kind of futuristic chemistry lab kit with glass tumblers and test tubes.

As is visible, the tea set comes with its own thick wooden and glass tray that has enough space to accommodate all the different ingredients that go into tea making like sugar, tea leaves, water etc. The USP of this tea set is clearly the tea tray itself that has a built-in induction plate, which acts as a heating device that boil water on the spot and allow you to serve it. Hence, you can brew and serve tea in the same tray, all while chatting with your friends.

The company Free Time Industries is a multidisciplinary experimental design studio dedicated to creating responsible and innovative products through artist collaboration. Interestingly, it is so named as the designers of the company Kate Bailey, Ariana Budner, Naomi Parker and Amber R Murray dedicated only their personal free time to get it started and going.
