If you thought chairs are a piece of furniture and used as a part of the seating arrangement, think again. Would you believe me if I told you that there exists chairs which taste like a sugar candy and can be licked like a lollipop? There exists a chair that is not only colorful but is also delicious to look at.

Have I gone bonkers? Not at all. No, it is neither a figment of my weird imagination. It is in fact a brainwave of an insanely creative designer. He has in fact designed and created a real chair which tastes sweet and can be licked, literally, whenever you feel like! And you bet the experience is going to leave you craving for more.

For those with a sweet tooth, Brenner, a Dutch-born, German designer, has invented the Sugar Chair – the world’s first design chair made out of pure sugar. Unbelievable for sure, but this man has made the impossible, possible with his innovative skills. Manufactured out of a whopping 60 pounds of confectioners’ sugar, this Sugar Chair lets you lick it, suck it and crunch it into a sui generis design object that’ll transform the décor and the interior of your home, office, restaurant, hotel and what have you into a delicious ambiance.

So is 60 pounds of delectable chair stable and strong enough to bear human weight? Well, not quite. Banner does not encourage anyone to use his invention like a normal chair. Albeit, you may do so if you wish to but Banner Sugar Chair is more of a decorative piece rather than furniture for regular use.

About the manufacturing technique, Barren says he has worked with very good sugar specialist since it involved quite a complicated method, which required the sugar to dry thoroughly enough to be molded into a shape of a chair.

The chairs are for sale for $11,000 per chair. If that leaves bitter taste in your mouth just think of how sugary would be the reactions of the observers who would praise you for your queer choice to their last lick.
