IKEA, the brand known for cool furniture is all set to make the working in kitchen a fun-loving job for it plans to come up with interesting kitchen elements by 2040. The futuristic kitchen includes mood-adjusting kitchenware, fridges (with celebrity chefs’ cooking tutorials) and much more. Entitled “SKARP”, it’s a concept designed after the survey that was conducted on around 2,000 people asking them as to what they expect their kitchens to look like in 2040. The kitchen will include features like sixth-generation iPads in every cabinet door, the 3D food printing, food grown on the shelf without soil, refrigerator with an interactive 3D screen, multi-touch tap, self-cleaning surfaces, tool that will display information regarding the nutrition in the ingredients, remote-controlled cooker, retractable shelves, height-adjustable cabinets, energy monitor system, genetically-engineered food, roll-out chopping boards and draws and much more. This is the list of the features we know. I wonder what would be other traits (which are still to be unveiled) of this futuristic kitchen. Let time speak for itself! We will keep you informed. Stay tuned!
