In case you thought the dreaded era of the Boombox had surrendered to the chic age of the iPod, think again! The big bold music thumper is back, albeit in a quieter cushion avatar. The creation by designer Andreas Kraeftner is a part of his GHETTOBASICS line and features a rather simple rectangular foam pillow with a black and white screen print of a classic 1980’s JVC Boombox on top that lends it the appearance of the original music system. Of course sleeping with your head on one of these is going to be just as uncomfortable as the real thing would have been, but for a true lover of the 90’s funk chic, a severe neck strain is all but a small price to pay!
