Green Screen: Regulating room temperature the natural way

The Product:

Using an air-conditioner generates a lot of carbon dioxide and is certainly not an eco-friendly way to lead life. But with extremely hot temperatures prevailing during summers. one is forced to use them. Green Screen is a revolutionary product, which can regulate the room temperature in a natural eco-friendly way. The inspiration for creating this product came from the idea of nature itself, the concept was based on soothing visions of lawns, watering, sunlight drifting through branches of trees and so on. Both physical comfort and mental peace was the aim of this project.

Overview:

The Green Screen is made up of screen and lower grass. In summer the grass grows and rises up, making the entire thing look literally like a “green screen” and this intercepts the sunlight in summer and provides comfort from the heat and creates a soothing environment. While in winter the grass in the screen die, the green screen now becomes transparent and the sunlight streams in keeping the room warm.

The Green Screen is constituted of screen and lower grass also contains moisture uptake gel, which supplies the much-needed water to the lower grass. The water is transported through capillary action. This makes the grass grow in summer and it shuts out the harsh rays of the sun, while in winter the grass dies and lets the sunlight in. The cycle again begins the following spring.

When the product was designed, the creators verified exactly how large an area can be kept cool by the powers of Nature. For instance they examined the measurement of the area that could be cooled by watering, in traditional Japanese methods of construction.

The Green Screen is a great eco-friendly way of regulating the heat and moisture level of a room. It has no adverse effects on the environment and helps to create a comfortable atmosphere in a room with the power of nature.
