Mould it, cover it, Lid it; ‘Shy Worm Lamp’

The source of inspiration for design is ad hoc. One can draw inspiration from simple facts- like a shape of leaf, or the pattern on the bark of the tree, or the cloud formation in the sky! Just like Yogesh J. Khabale-a budding designer has sourced his inspiration from a worm! Although it sounds little weird, but yes his ‘Shy Worm Lamp’ is a manifesto of a worm.

Just like a worm coils itself into a little ball and protects its sensitive areas, similarly the lamp can be clogged into a compact one through its flexible wire. Now this not only shields the the bulb of the lamp from any damage but also dwells the feature of portability in to it.

The lamp also has a beauteous oval shaped cover that has a metallic sheet on it with an LED bulb placed inside it. However the USP of the lamp that hogs the spotlight is that it can be tangled into any direction and can be bent or stretched as per the user’s need.

The Shy worm Lamp is distinct from other lamps flooded in the market, on the basis of its portability and design. And who knows that in near future, we may witness lamps made out of a kettle shape or log of wood. Remember that inspiration has no frim root!
