Using recycled computer games console casings, South East London based furniture manufacturers Pli have come with a range of eco-friendly furniture that will appeal to a vast section of the modern demographic. The Reee Chair is a thought-provoking project that brings us an interesting alternative to the virgin plastic chairs that seem to be mushrooming in small-scale set ups all over the world. Designed and manufactured in the UK in collaboration with London Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) and environment design firm Sprout Design, the chair won a remarkable 18,000 Euro grant from London Remade’s Enhance Capital Fund for production tooling and stands as a true testament to the power of the artistic instinct that can find use for even the most forsaken pieces of junk.
