Inspired by the concept of the utilization of an already existing and efficient system in varying contexts, here is a special lounge furniture that is designed in a way the user would feel is familiar but is still with a different and unique touch! Submitted for the prestigious James Dyson Award, this upholstery furniture is named PACKED & SHIPPED. This name is provided to justify the storage-safe and transportable features of the furniture. The project design reinterprets the basic qualities of a bubble wrap and its symbolic significance to people.

PACKED & SHIPPED is a lounge furniture that fits completely into a 60 x 60 x 15 cm box.

It works on the idea similar to a bubble wrap protecting objects that are packed and transported using boxes. The difference just exists when the bubble wrap is transformed into an upholstered blanket in case of PACKED & SHIPPED. Individuals feel more secure and comfortable when they use such kind of a cushion between them and the rough surfaces. This modular upholstery aims to provide the same comfort as it uses the correct foam and bubble sizes. Also, the upholstery can be used separately or with the modular chair per the user's needs. There are different ways an individual can experiment with this upholstered furniture for usage.

PACKED & SHIPPED can completely fit in a box of dimensions 60x60x15 cm. This lounge furniture can properly be flat-packed, in contrast to the heavy upholstered furniture. Also, the user can quickly reassemble the furniture as and when required. This easy assembly and dis-assembly feature makes this furniture modular enough to be stored and transported at lower costs. Also, users can assemble this piece of upholstered furniture on their own, while reading the detailed instructions mentioned on top of the packaging or storage box.
