Just when we thought those gas powered fire places with the false wood blocks were the zenith of fireplace design, a new design of wall-mounted fireplace emerged to raise the bar. One of the leaders in this new form of fireplaces is Safretti, with their Ecofireplaces, which burn gas so cleanly, that they are actually rated to be operated without the need for a chimney, or any other kind of duct. Their new line of Gaya fireplaces is a beautiful window-sized, black-coated stainless steel with a nice protruding pocket that houses the burner. The fireplace is suitable for use indoors as well as outdoors on the porch or balcony.
