Researchers develop solar powered Soladey-J3X toothbrush

solar powered tooth brush

With almost every home product going green, we wonder what would be next. Dr. Kunio Komiyama who is a dentistry professor emeritus at Saskatchewan University has come up with the first toothbrush that promises to clean your teeth not the conventional way. The Soladey-J3X toothbrush is endowed with a solar panel at its base that transmits electrons to the top of the toothbrush through a lead wire thereby creating a solar-powered chemical reaction in the mouth eliminating the need for toothpaste. When the electrons react with acid in the mouth, they create a chemical reaction that breaks down plaque and kills bacteria. Soon, you won’t have to go to the grocery shop to get home some toothpaste; Soladey-J3X toothbrush will clean your teeth the greener way! The toothbrush manufactured by Japanese company, Shiken will soon be tested by 120 teenagers.
