Overview

The designer, Robert van Embricqs, has come up with a brilliant new concept, Rising table, which features simple yet innovative idea, in which flat surface is transformed into stylish and functional furniture. This concept is inspired by natural designs, where a pattern of peerless woven wooden beams is created at the center of the table.

What’s unique

This concept of ‘Rising table’ changes the clichéd notion that a table is just a flat surface with four separate legs. The table boasts a flowing design that features a comprehensive tabletop along with beautiful latticework of wooden shafts, which turns out to be the focal point of the construction. The uniqueness of this table is that it is made from single piece of wood.

High points

During the process of designing, the principal focus was on using particular materials that guided the impeccable design, while still providing practical appliance and usability. The designer has ensured that the product should be an outcome of exclusively natural transformation and not relying on man. Therefore, the patter on the flat surface has been developed. This proves that this table isn’t merely a spectacular piece in terms of design, but it can also stand on its own as a functional piece of furniture, but with a twist.
