Shop Experience for Hoover Unplugged

Looking for a vacuum cleaner for my computer supply store, I came across the brilliant Hoover Unplugged model UNP300R. You may have seen the advertisements on TV for these neat little gadgets, but if you’re unfamiliar, the Hoover Unplugged vacuum cleaners are bag less, wireless rechargeable vacuum cleaners for home and light commercial use. I wanted something that would be convenient, not take up a lot of space, and most of all be portable and quick to use in a busy environment.

The first thing I noticed about the Hoover Unplugged was how light and portable it was. The weight was absolutely perfect for my needs, as myself or any of my staff could do a quick vacuum around the store in just a few minutes, without having to worry about cords getting in the way of shelving, or inconveniencing our customers. This means that we are able to clean at any time, which cuts down on the after closing duties.

Having a wireless vacuum cleaner is a real blessing, but initially I was skeptical on how much battery life we would get from it. I haven’t perfectly timed how long the machine operates for, but I would say that it would be at least an hour of continuous use before you need to charge it. For our needs, it’s perfect, and we get about three days usage before it needs to be charged. This includes a quick run around the store two to three times each day. One thing to be aware of if you are considering one, is that it does take a while to charge. It takes almost a full day to complete, but it’s not really a problem because you have long enough battery life to do your cleaning, and then it’s simple enough to leave it plugged in overnight for a full charge.

Being a vacuum cleaner, it’s pertinent that I talk about how well it cleans. Hoover is a trusted brand from what I can tell, but this particular model is the first that I’ve had from the company. It cleans as well as my previous vacuum cleaner, and this really surprised me considering its size and the fact that it is a rechargeable unit. Our floors are completely carpeted, but there are settings that should work fine on tiles, hardwood floors, or lino flooring. The cleaner is bag less, and the dustbin has a quick release function which in my experience is simple to use with no mess.

Overall I think this is an excellent vacuum, even for the price. You pay a little bit more than you would for a comparable corded model, but for the convenience and quality you get, you would be hard pressed to find a real complaint. When it comes time for a replacement I would seriously consider another Hoover Unplugged, and I’m seriously thinking about getting one for around the home.
