Symbio Speaker draws inspiration from the structure of coral stone

The Symbio Speaker has been crafted by Adam Wallat who is a product designer by profession. The shape of this speaker is unique and has been inspired by the shape and structure of a coral stone. The pattern that a coral stone comes caked with is truly unique and impressive, which has been given a functional existence by the designer. This gives the Symbio Speaker an interesting, organic and smooth shape that is very eye appealing.

The speaker has been crafted using a variety of materials that gives it the much needed durability and good-looks. The speaker membrane has been made using the coral stone while the back has been crafted from stainless steel. The use of stainless steel can be easily bent like the organic lines that make the shape of coral stones. The materials complement each other and unfurl a create combination of industrial looks as well as a natural appearance.

The structural pattern of the coral stone posed a few problems in terms of the sound waves getting through it easily, thanks to the dense structure of limestone. But this problem was solved by the designer in an ingenious way. Adam changed the pattern of coral stone into a structure that formed the front part of the speaker. This structure is pentagonal in shape strongly resembles that of the coral units. The back part, on the other hand has been made using genuine coral stone that gives birth to a great symbiosis between two materials.
