The Butterfly House in Sydney mimics Australia’s most famous icon

Located in a suburb of Sydney, Australia called Dover
Heights, the Butterfly House is a well known local landmark even though it is a
private residence. The home was originally commissioned in the year 2005 though
it has taken its designer till now to finally finish the home in all earnest.

The home stands as a reflection of the most famous Australian
icon, the Sydney Opera House and its spectacular grand stand finished in all
white marks it as a great tribute to the country’s most famous landmark. The private
home has been fitted with the latest in home automation and its multi level
construction will have anyone fooled into thinking that Tony Stark AKA Iron Man
uses it has a summer home every now and then.

Ed Lippmann, the man behind the home, has created the home
to boast of international quality and style through it hat’s brim exteriors and
grassy terrace. Stylish and fashionable, the peculiar design of the home also
makes its interiors less than traditional in every sense.

For example, its kitchen is minimalist and near-tribal
looking with its all white finishes, convex island and a counter built right
into the wall itself. The kitchen too opens up into a small living room
overlooking the city’s skyline.

The glass fenced staircase is a feature derived from most modern
homes though it also serves an additional function of allowing daylight to
floor into the home.

Bedrooms in the home may appear a little small for a home of
this scale though each of them are as spacious and modernly designed as would
be suited to a home of this kind.

The living room in the residence is equally minimalist.

A basic glass lined gym is also featured in the home though
the real treat is the uber spacious parking that could house at least 5
expensive cars!
