Uvula speakers are odd, but cool enough to become the centerpiece

Speaking Uvula speakers by Mira Yung are porcelain speakers that have taken the form of an open mouth. Made in recycled clay, plaster and porcelain, these speakers remind me of an ogre’s mouth that has not been cleaned for months all together. That is the reason I perceive them to be odd. However, the concept and the smooth finish of these speakers make them cool enough to be the centerpiece of my living room.

The high density and sustainable properties of porcelain are excellent to accentuate the sound waves. The flaring form also helps to transform the weak waves into strong waves. These speakers can be mass produced through the process of slip casting.
