Whamodyne Glass Speakers: Taditional electronics come in a new avtar

When Logitech S120 computer speakers are stripped apart and fitted into a pair of glass vases instead of the boring black plastic and then each of them are mounted at a handmade plywood base, it will take the shape of Glass speakers from whamodyne. It’s a new kid on the block and an absolutely ludicrous idea. These speakers will not hide anything; they will show everything they have. It’s a product that you can use for yourself or gift to any music fanatic. The structure is much weird as the AC adapter is built into the units not the wall wart. They are not much powerful like GLA-55, but are tenth of their price.

Most loudspeakers use many techniques which makes the sound better. But inspired by the designs of Joey Roth, the glass speaker is constructed by making a circular hole in the bottom of two 7 inches long with a diameter of 3 inches glass vases with diamond cutter so that two speakers can fit in each hole. The speakers are first mounted on a clear plastic disc and then fixed in the glass hole. The handmade wooden curves are made of plywood and hardwood dowels to protect and hold the glass. There is a small inclination between the two wooden supports to give the front speaker a gentle angel up. You can find the power switch and volume knob on the right speaker. The speaker works with laptop, mp3 players, DVD players.
